DSA AWARDS
NOMINATIONS OPEN LATE 2026
The Gold Coast Theatre Alliance established the DSA - Hero Awards in 2014 to recognize dedicated volunteers in the Community Arts sector. Member organizations can nominate individuals who are often the unsung heroes behind every successful organisation. These prestigious awards are in recognition of the contributions made by these individuals. We also have Youth Awards for under 25 year olds, who display passion, commitment and mentorship within their companies. Our RED HAT AWARD is presented to an outstanding volunteer and is also known as the Joel Beskin award, who is one of our founding members. The Distinguished Service Award Ceremonies are held biannually, with the next celebration being in May 2027 which combines with the GCTAI 30th year anniversary.
